Bequests
"What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us. What we have done for others and the world remains immortal" Albert Pike |
Bequests are our greatest source of income. They are also the greatest commitment a supporter can demonstrate.
Over 250,000 women and children from throughout Central and South Australia are treated at the Women’s & Children’s Hospital (WCH) each year. The WCH treats everything from life threatening illnesses, trauma injuries caused in accidents through to complex medical cases that require extended and comprehensive treatment.
The WCH provides children with services through the Adolescent Ward, the Paediatric Day Surgery Unit, Boylan Ward (psychiatric facility), Brookman Ward (blood disorders and cancer), Campbell Ward (for overnight stays after surgery), Newland Ward (complex surgery) and the Rose Ward (medical and surgical procedures for birth to 12 months).
The need to keep pace with the latest technology to provide the best equipment and treatments, and to continue improvements, such as the Pain Distraction Rooms, requires funding.
Your bequest helps in making this all possible.
The vital funds generated through bequests means that improved patient care, new equipment and critical research can be funded, bringing solutions and cures in the future just that little bit closer.
Whether large or small, every gift is greatly valued because it will help make a real difference to someone’s life.

“I feel very blessed to have two healthy children. My decision to leave a bequest to the Women’s & Children’s Hospital Foundation means that I can provide financial support to those less fortunate than me and continue to care for children now and medical research for future generations” Ros Clarke
Please note that it is essential that you use appropriate wording for a Will, and to use our correct name to avoid confusion and subsequent legal costs:-
