2018/19 Research Grants Announced
Ten of the funding grants for research at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital have just been announced for the 2019/20 financial year. Every year, thanks to the generosity of our donors, we are able to providing funding for $1.5 million worth of research.
In consultation with the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Research Grants Committee, we are excited to announce the successful 2019/20 new research project recipients:
- Professor Simon Barry – Gastroenterology and Department of Paediatrics. Awarded a grant of $75,000.
- Ms Tara Beaumont and Ms Kate Goode – Women’s Health Physiotherapy, Allied Health. Awarded a grant of $30,000.
- Dr Cheryl Brown – Molecular Immunology Lab, Department of Paediatrics. Awarded a grant of $75,000.
- Dr Juliette Delhove – Respiratory and Sleep Medicine. Awarded a grant of $75,000.
- Dr Christopher Hope – Gastroenterology and Department of Paediatrics. Awarded a grant of $50,000.
- Dr Amy Keir – Department for Neonatal Medicine. Awarded a grant of $75,000.
- Dr Sarah Linthwaite – Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Awarded a grant of $30,000.
- Dr Alexia Pena – Endocrine and Diabetes, Department of Paediatrics. Awarded a grant of $75,000.
- Dr Megan Penno – Discipline of Paediatrics. Awarded a grant for $75,000.
- Dr Nathan Rout-Pitt – Respiratory and Sleep Medicine. Awarded a grant for $75,000.
Starting in the New Year, we will shine a spotlight each month on these research heroes detailing the impact their vital research has on the lives of families.
