Why you’re here:
Supporting initiatives that will bring world-class care, comfort and dignity when families need it most.
Funds raised through 2026 Collab for a Cause Christmas in July Dinner will help support some of the hospital’s most vulnerable babies, children and families through vital care, research and wellbeing programs at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Current initiatives include groundbreaking neonatal research aimed at improving recovery outcomes for newborns undergoing major surgery, direct financial assistance for families facing hardship during their child’s hospital stay, live music programs that bring calm and comfort to intensive care and surgical areas, specialist lifesaving equipment for critically ill babies, and compassionate grief and loss support for families experiencing the unimaginable loss of a child. Together, these initiatives help provide not only world-class care, but comfort, dignity and hope when families need it most.
Collab for a Cause is a fundraising event we have hosted at LOT.100 in 2019, 2022 & 2024. We gather some incredible celebrity chefs to cook on the night alongside our own talented Chef and General Manager Shannon Fleming whose family has very personal connections to the NeoNatal Unit at the Women’s and Children’s.
A bit from Shannon :
“My wife had super premature twins at the hospital in August of ’18 after a traumatic and eventful pregnancy and spent nearly 100 days in NICU. Unfortunately, one of the girls passed away following heart surgery at the Royal Children’s in Melbourne after 28 days. So, whilst we had the worst experience possible, we also had an amazing experience with the staff and doctors of the NICU and WCH in general. A place that holds so many memories not just for our family but many others.
Since then, I have dedicated time to raising money for the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation and using this platform in hospitality was the best way to do it.”
Every ticket supports the Women’s & Children’s Hospital Foundation, so you can party with purpose while making a real impact.
