We were thrilled to host the recent launch of composer Kristopher Man’s album, CALM, at the Women’s & Children’s Hospital 🎵🎹
Inspired by Kristopher’s personal experiences as both a patient and a composer, CALM features ten original music tracks designed to bring comfort and healing to patients, families and staff. Since 2022, Kristopher has been mentored through our Arts in Health program to compose, test and produce the tracks and told us.
“My health has been so well cared for by the Women’s and Children’s Hospital that I wanted to give back by producing a special music album CALM, to be played at the hospital for families and children, and for the staff as well,” shares Kristopher.
Supported by the WCH Foundation and the Elder Conservatorium of Music at the University of Adelaide, the launch event was a heartfelt celebration, featuring live performances by Kristopher alongside cellist Rachel Bruerville and violinist Timothy Shephard.

Truckloads of fun was had as three awesome Monster Truck drivers from the Hot Wheels Live event rolled into the Women’s and Children’s Hospital to spread some “Glow-n-Fire” magic across the wards 🚛✨
We’re so grateful to our wonderful partner @bigwaustralia for making this special visit possible and to the drivers for bringing smiles and bright moments to patients and their families.

Ethan Palmer is taking on the challenge of running 12km in the City to Bay Fun Run for the very first time! Already a rising star on the track with multiple podium finishes this season, and with a personal connection through his stepmum Michelle, who works at the WCH Foundation, Ethan is lacing up his sneakers to support our vital work 🏃♂️💛
Ethan shares, “I hate the thought of children struggling with serious illness and I want to help as much as possible.” His passion for making a difference is truly inspiring, and he’s calling on our community to help him reach his fundraising goal of $5,000.
Every donation, big or small, will go a long way in supporting children and families in need. Let’s cheer Ethan on and show him the power of community support!
