We’re incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of Cops for Kids, a long-time partner of the WCH Foundation.

This year, they’ve come on board to fully fund a CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) project aimed at creating vital resources for young people experiencing suicidal distress. These videos will help reduce fear and uncertainty, providing much-needed guidance for children and their parents in seeking help.

Cops for Kids Founder, Drew, shared, “In our careers as members of SAPOL, or as parents, or family members, many of us have had our lives permanently affected by suicide. All members of Cops for Kids hope this project can help those when their need is greatest.”

Thank you, Cops for Kids, for your unwavering support and helping to create a meaningful impact on our community đź’›

A space to reset between appointments, recover after treatment, or simply feel like a child again.

Critical research funded by the WCH Foundation is determining whether a baby’s immune response to vaccinations can be boosted by improving their gut microbiome 🔬

Thanks to your generous support, Professor David Lynn and his collaborators are trialing whether probiotic treatment given to babies who have received antibiotics early in life can help to restore their good bacteria and improve their vaccine response. This is vital, as a better vaccine response means greater levels of protection against disease.

This promising research highlights the impact we can make in partnership with clinicians, healthcare providers and researchers, all made possible thanks to the generosity of the community.

Together, we’re working hand in hand for health 💛
