Bloom 2025

In 2025 the Bloom Research Program will be distributing up to $2 million toward research into mental health disorders in childhood and adolescence, and up to $1.7 million toward research into rare diseases and disorders affecting children and pregnancy.

Applications will be sought for the two streams as follows:

Stream 1

Prevention, early intervention and treatment for mental health disorders in childhood and adolescence.

Researchers interested in applying for Stream 1 funding should register to attend the Round Table event on Tuesday, 25 March 2025.

This event is designed to foster collaboration, providing researchers with an opportunity to share initial ideas with stakeholders and receive valuable feedback before submitting an expression of interest.

Attendance at the Round Table (or making alternative arrangements with the WCH Foundation) is a required step to advance in the application process. Expressions of interest will open on Thursday, 27 March 2025 at 9:00am ACDT.

To register, submit your application via SmartyGrants between 9:00am ACDT on Monday, 10 February and 5:00pm ACDT on Friday, 7 March 2025. Late registrations will not be accepted.
