Our Street Fundraising

Face-to-Face Fundraising Activity

The WCH Foundation is hitting the streets to raise awareness about the difference your support makes to sick children and their families who rely on the Hospital, and to invite new supporters to join our Big Hearts Monthly Giving program. All of our face-to-face (F2F) fundraisers are valued representatives of the Women’s & Children’s Hospital Foundation and can be recognised by their clearly marked T Shirts and ID Badges.

If you have any questions regarding our Face to Face fundraising, please contact us between 9 am and 5 pm, Monday to Friday on 08 8464 7900 or by email.

What is face-to-face fundraising?

Face-to-face fundraising is a proven and well-established method of fundraising utilised by many charities to help recruit new monthly supporters. Increasing the number of people who support the Women’s and Children’s Hospital through regular monthly donations, means we can better plan for the future. In addition, it is also an effective way to speak to our community about the work of the Foundation.

Does the WCH Foundation use an agency to fundraise?

Yes, we carefully select our agencies and we only work with professional agencies that are registered with the Public Fundraising Regulatory Association (PFRA) and adhere to the Fundraising Institute of Australia’s (FIA) code of conduct. We have chosen to work with a local South Australian agency that we pay to fundraise on our behalf. The WCH Foundation provides regular training to the fundraising team on our programs as well as taking them on tours of the hospital.  The agency recruits and manages the fundraising team and ensures we have the have the best people for the job. It is less costly than employing and training staff in-house.

Where does the money go?

Funds raised will support a variety of projects at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. The hospital’s funding needs vary from year to year, but our support falls into these main areas:

  • Equipment
  • Research
  • Hospital facilities and environment
  • Patient and family support

All funds stay in South Australia to support patients and families cared for at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
